The concept of cocktail first appeared in the late 18th century, when Betty Flanagan served her tavern customers a mix of drinks inside a rooster-shaped jug!. Then, of course, she didn’t know she was opening a new page in the history of drinks. When some of her customers wanted to drink the delicious drink they had tried again, of course they could not remember its ingredients. The shape of the jug, however, was characteristic and had been printed in their memory: “Bring a rooster tail (cocktail), Betty,” shouted the first. That’s it, that’s it! A new class of believers had just been born.
